Hi, I'm Dee Waite, your photographer. I have been taking pictures for (let's just say it's more than 25 years and less than 50, okay?) and have earned many honors along the way. I enjoy taking photographs of virtually anything, but I am most passionate about animals and nature.
I was given my first camera when I was 10 and told "Just go shoot something...anything you think is pretty." So I did. Thing was, I found EVERYTHING "pretty". I found beauty in rocks, little tiny insects, the windows hanging half off the old weathered barn at the end of our property, the old lady across the street (named "Cat Lady" by the local kids) who fed every single stray cat that crossed her path, strangers stopped at a red light ... virtually EVERYTHING was pretty to me.
When I realized I could capture that beauty and forever keep it with me, I was hooked. I've been taking photographs ever since.
The beautiful dog you see that looks like a Dachsund ...but not quite ... and looks like a Bassett ...but not quite... is called Dodger and was adopted from the South Animal Care and Adoption Center in Melbourne. He has made me laugh from the moment I brought him home with his wonderful personality. I absolutely LOVE, ADORE, WORSHIP animals of all kinds. I find such pleasure in looking at Dodger's pictures all around my home; I wanted to give other people the opportunity to share in that pleasure with their own pets.
I'm not your run-of-the-mill portrait studio.
I am a professional photographer with 25+ years of experience with an enormous love for animals and all that they represent.
I'm unique. My style of photography is unique. My use of lighting is unique. My use of color or black and white is unique. My view of candid photography is unique. My love for your animal is unique.
What makes me so unique? Simple - No two photographers share any of these qualities in exactly the same way.
